Use of chainsaw childbirth
Permalink

Before Caesarean sections were introduced, women faced a difficult situation if their baby was too large to be delivered naturally through the birth canal. In such cases, doctors start removing parts of the pelvis to facilitate childbirth. However, this procedure was crude and painful, often carried out using a small knife, resulting in a messy operation.

In 1780, two doctors came up with an innovative solution to make the process easier and less time-consuming by inventing Chainsaw. Thus having chainsaw childbirth was a revolutionary act in the past. They invented the chainsaw, which proved to be a game-changer in the field of obstetrics. This new tool improvised the way doctors performed pelvic surgeries, making childbirth safer and more efficient.
